Congratulations to the REME on their success at the Inter Corps Champs winning the Men's long held at Altcar ranges (Night) and neighbouring Formby dunes in the day leg. The REME team overcame a two minute RLC overnight lead to win the two day competition by just 22 minutes (combined result of the top nine individual times). This was their first win since 2007. In the women's competition the RSIGS maintained a commanding lead to win the title.
After a lighting fast run at night across the range complex, competitors faced a much more physical and damp day in the highly technical Formby dunes. Army individual Champions Andy Brett and Tamsin Moran had to run hard and clean to win both the Army Night and Day titles respectively, a fantastic effort from both. Many thanks to the RA for hosting the weekend event alongside local club DEE supported by Allan Farrington and Phill Batts (Altcar mapper). AOA President, Col James Rhodes extends his congratulations and thanks to all Corps competitors who participated. And good luck to Army team members selected to compete at the Inter Services on 1 December.
