Well today certainly "sorted the Men from the Boys" as that famous old (but outdated) saying goes.

 The planner commented that it was obviously a very hot and sticky day, especially in the open areas going up hill, so people were advised to drop a course if they wanted. Unfortunately the veg changes in the last two weeks called for a complete replan and also involved moving the start to the top of the hill to avoid a lot of killer nettles & brambles. The earlier starters had a little more difficulty with the terrain, but as the day warmed it got easier with tracks forming. I certainly found the going a lot harder once we crossed back over the road.  Unsurprisingly a high percentage of retirees.

The Summer series continues next week on Bramshott South, with access only available off the south bound A3. Again, it will be loops, but with a difference and presented by Pete Jones and Paul Keeble. Don't want to worry you, but the adders do like basking on that south slope when it is hot so watch where you are putting your feet!
