We hope you all enjoyed the first MLSS event of the year.  Thanks to Colin Dickson for the planning, his last for a few weeks as hopefully he will be in getting 2 new knees next wed so watch out for new rebuild model making a comeback in the New Year when he moves up to M70.

It has been a lot more difficult this year getting onto suitable military areas so the MLS team has had to be more creative.  The calendar is now nearly finalised with Tidworth Garrison now confirmed for 26 June. Middle Wallop for 3 July and Rushmoor for 10 July.  I will post the planned venues shortly, although a couple are still subject to confirmation.

So next week we are off to the coast, Royal Victoris Country Park has it all, a beach, some nice open areas to sprint over, lots of woods, with lots of contour detail in there, cafe/resturant beside the car park with outdoor loos, even a dog wash and woofs are most welcome on all courses, even running off the lead if yours is that well behaved.  There will be a code available at registration for reduced parking fees.Also lots of military memorabilia around the park, dare I mention a view of Fawley Refinery across the Solent, the largest refinery in the UK and finally the Prince Consort pub just outside the park gates.  So make a day of it and see a bit of the south coast.
