Thanks for making the journey to Netley and I hope you enjoyed your run despite the heat, I tried to give some different challenges to last year, but I think I may have made the courses a tad too long, I blame you all for complaining last weeks courses were too short! people are surprised at how technical it can be in RVCP, no big hills but lots of small ups and downs.

My aplogies also about having to dodge the diggers in the NE corner but when we arrived this morning it was to find them barracading off the main path, but I was able to persuade them that was unnecessary and we could just run around them.  I discovered as we left that the RVCP staff were also unaware of any work being done, they were looking for gas pipes apparently.

Another apology about the parking discount code, I had been assured it was as per last year, reduced £5 for 4 hrs instead of £8, but I discovered late on that it only reduced the cost to £7. Unfortunately the code was only valid today so I could not test it out and my contact at RVCP was on hols this week.

Anyway onward and upwards, next week we are off to Tidworth Garrison to try out the brand new map of the barracks.

You will also be glad to hear that Colin Dickson has finally had his op to replace both knees so watch out for the return of the "6 Million Dollar" Orienteer!  Only we oldies will understand that ref.
