Army success at Inter Services Championships

Congratulations to all members of the Army Team for a convincing victory over the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy at the Inter Services 2023. The match, hosted by BOK, was held on Sunday 21 January 2024 with threatening weather forecast at Stockhill, Mendips.

 

The Army Women’s Team, racing on the Blue course, faced tough competition from both the Navy and RAF but nevertheless dominated, with four runners in the top six.

The Army Men’s Team, running Brown, had a combined time of 6hrs 10mins 31secs (6 runners), 1hr 3mins faster than second placed team, with nine Army runners in the top ten.

In the individual competitions, Lt Tamsin Moran AGC (ETS) was women’s runner-up and Lt Col Rob Ashton REME was the men’s winner.

 

Full results are on the BOK Regional Stockhill website. Following this match, the Combined Armed Forces team will be selected to compete against British University teams on 9-10 Mar hosted by Cambridge University.
